The CEO of the largest Spanish-owned food company in the United States is sounding the alarm about worsening inflation, using cans of beans as an example of how prices have risen since President Biden took office.
“The price of our beans, before this administration, was, say, $0.99, two years ago the price of beans went up 64%, so now we’re at $1.50 for the same bean, so that’s a 50% increase. A 21% increase. No,” Goya Foods CEO Bob Yunayo said during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” that grocery prices are 20% higher than they were four years ago.

His comments came just after the newly released August PPI showed a 0.2% increase in wholesale inflation from the previous month and a 1.7% year-on-year inflation increase.
Sitting down with co-host Brian Clemide, Annano reacted to these data points.
“It’s like the temperature — you have the temperature, but then you have the actual feeling of the temperature. You have the wind chill effect and since this agency came in, we’re at a much higher base than what we’ve had. “The last inflationary pressure was in 2008, when grain prices doubled, but now we’re on a very large base, and it’s going up, but it’s continuing.”

Criticizing Biden’s presidency, he singled out some of the potential culprits behind rising prices — the war on fossil fuels, the Green New Deal, and the weakness that fueled the Russia-Ukraine war — as a driver behind high crude prices. Power – between them.
The rise in steel prices – a material commonly used in manufacturing – has created another problem for companies like Goya.
“In our case, we had steel prices going up, packaging prices going up 64%… [the price increase] It was two years ago,” explained Yunao.
“It’s created by this agency. It’s man-made inflation—made by men and women,” he insisted.
Unayo also appeared on “The Brian Clamid Show” on Thursday, where he continued his discussion of the economy and detailed his support for former President Trump.
“This is communism,” he said of Vice President Harris’ proposal to impose price controls. “We are far from God. You know we are no longer a land of opportunity. We are a land of hand goods. And we spread money all over the world. We must, I say, we have. He also criticized the Biden administration over the weekend, accusing it of pushing Americans into poverty.
“We just went from bad to worse,” he told “Fox and Friends Weekly.”
“The record is very clear. I don’t know how they can swallow it, that we are better than before.”
