ELon Musk may not be the brilliant scientist we all thought he was during the Obama administration, but he has proven a theory: It turns out that money really can’t buy happiness. It can’t buy you charisma, maturity, empathy, or even the love and respect of your own children.
Yes, stop the press: Elon Musk once again said something so terrifying (and controversial) that it caused his own flesh and blood to step forward and say, “Look, we’re only technically related”.
This time, it was the Tesla CEO’s offer to “give [Taylor Swift] A baby” after the singer endorsed Kamala Harris for president on Instagram, following the VP’s stellar debate performance earlier this week.

Not Mr. “The Real Life Tony Stark,” though. Musk has been online so long — so transparently in need — that he wants the approval of an army of anonymous 13-year-old trolls more than his own child. But then, who can blame him? Who among us hasn’t betrayed a loved one so we can spend our lives looking at unpleasant memes on an unrelated website? It’s Shakespearean, in its own way.
But this is nothing new for Musk. It’s no consolation I’m sure, but unlike most children of disappointing parents, Vivian can at least take some comfort in the fact that when it comes to her feelings about her father, he’s alone.
